Your mother was a small and mighty force who was loved by all who knew her. I am happy to carry her memory with me always. Sending you all much love, Teri

To Sheldon, Tootie, Frank, Spencer and 'Little Alice': I just loved your mother! My parents, Alice-Marie and Bill Doherty, were their close friends in Summit, NJ, and Mom was Sheldon's godmother. Alice, the first grownup ever to tell me to call her by her first name, was at our house almost every day while I was growing up, and she and Marion were the only people we knew when we moved to The Landings five years ago. They took us to the Plantation Club, where I enjoyed seeing your father almost every day at 'his' table!
- Mary-Anne Westley, Savannah, GA
To all you. i miss your mom. She was as much a part of my childhood as my own mom. Miss Alice was a neighborhood trendsetter - blue spandex shorts for gardening and grocery shopping, bright colored lipstick for cocktails at 5, tennis whites and a cigarette for the rest of the day. Miss Alice taught me patience and the art of persistance with grace. No doubt Betty sent me up her way when she needed a little peace at home. I still don't get the neighborhood obsession for pacasandra planting. That being said, it was wonderful growing up knowing that Miss Alice was always home for me and all the neighborhood kids when we needed her ear, advice, or round of hoops. Love to you all and many happy memories. Patty
